This website provides information on the key areas in which long-term care (LTC) homes are measuring quality. More than 125 LTC homes are now voluntarily reporting their results on pressure ulcers, falls, worsening bladder incontinence, use of restraints and medication management. Data for 29 other indicators related to safety, effectiveness, resident experience and wait times are reported as provincial averages. Please note that only homes with at least one year of RAI-MDS (Resident Assessment Instrument – Minimum Data Set) experience are eligible to participate in public reporting.
This site is a prototype, in its second phase of development. Its main purpose, at this time, is to function as a tool for homes to identify priority areas for quality improvement and to compare their results with those of other homes. When searching for information about a home, keep in mind that not all homes are able to report their results at this time. Check back regularly, as more homes will be added over time. With the release of the next LTC Public Report, in March 2012, we anticipate that all homes will be publicly reporting on key quality indicators. To find out more, see
About the Site.
